About us

Built by a nurse. Engineered by her husband.

SeniorGuardCare is a care coordination platform built for families and professional care teams - created by people who have lived the problem from both sides. A registered nurse and a senior software engineer. Husband and wife.

Families were not failing their parents out of lack of love. They were failing because modern life is relentless. Jobs, children, commutes, their own health. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, they were supposed to track medications, chase GP referrals, coordinate with carers, and still find time to visit. Nobody can do all of that without the right tools. That gap is why we built SeniorGuardCare.

Alice, Co-founder and Head of Clinical

Our story

From a care home ward to a platform that keeps families connected

Alice spent years as a registered nurse working in residential care homes. What struck her most was not the complexity of clinical care - it was the gap between the care home and the families outside it. Adult children who deeply loved their parents but simply could not keep up. They had jobs to hold down, their own children to raise, their own lives to manage. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, they were supposed to stay on top of medications, appointments, health changes, and care decisions.

Most of the time, they could not. Not because they did not care - but because they had no tool that made it possible. There was no way to check in without calling the home. No way to see if a medication had been taken, a meal had been eaten, or an appointment had been scheduled. The information existed - it was just locked away in folders and handover sheets that no family member ever saw.

Her husband Elmonds, a senior software engineer with experience at IBM, Vodafone, and the BBC, built the solution they both knew was needed. Together they founded SeniorGuardCare.

Today, SeniorGuardCare gives families one place to stay genuinely connected to their elderly parent's care - without needing to call anyone or be physically present. Medication tracking, appointment coordination, wellness check-ins, a shared family care team, a secure document vault, and an emergency SOS card for first responders. Everything a busy family needs to stay in the loop.

“Modern life does not slow down because your parent needs more care. We built SeniorGuardCare so families do not have to choose between living their own lives and staying genuinely connected to the people they love.”

Elmonds, Co-founder and CTO

For care homes, home care agencies, and the wider care workforce, we handle the operational side too: staff management, task coordination, compliance exports, and a family portal so relatives get real-time visibility without disrupting the team with phone calls.

We serve families and care professionals across the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. We are still early. We build with the families and care teams who join us, not ahead of them.

The founders

A nurse and an engineer. Husband and wife.

SeniorGuardCare was built by two people with complementary expertise and a shared frustration with how poorly the care world had been served by technology.

Alice

Co-founder · Head of Clinical

Alice is a registered nurse with years of experience in residential care homes. What she kept seeing was not a clinical failure - it was a family one. Adult children who loved their parents but were overwhelmed by their own lives, with no tool that let them stay genuinely connected to what was happening day to day.

She brings that lived perspective to everything SeniorGuardCare builds. Every feature is tested against one question: does this actually help a busy family stay on top of care without having to drop everything?

Elmonds is a senior software engineer with experience at IBM, Vodafone, and the BBC. He has spent his career building systems that need to be reliable when it matters.

When Alice described what she was living every day in those care homes, he knew exactly what to build. SeniorGuardCare is where his engineering experience meets her clinical insight.

What we believe

The values behind every decision we make

These are not wall art. They are the filters we use when we decide what to build, what to remove, and what to never compromise on.

Family-first

Every product decision starts with one question: does this make life easier for the person doing the caring? Features, pricing, and design are all measured against that standard.

Privacy by design

We never sell data, never use it for advertising, and build privacy into every product decision from day one.

Clinically responsible

We are careful. We do not make clinical decisions for families, but we help them walk into every appointment, handover, and conversation better prepared. Accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable.

Inclusive by default

Caregiving does not discriminate. We design for elderly parents and adult children, but also for professional care workers, domiciliary agencies, and care homes of all sizes.
